Amanda Rowe, MA LPC
Specializing in women’s issues, abuse and trauma, addictions, relationship issues and life transitions. Individual, Group and Couples counseling

My initial clinical experience was at the University of Central Florida’s Counseling and Testing Center in Orlando, Florida. Our center served a diverse student population with a wide range of issues from career counseling to traumatic abuse issues.

I moved to Arizona in spring 2002 and have since worked at TERROS, a community mental health center where I work as Lead Clinician, providing mental health and substance abuse treatment to clients who are mandated by the criminal justice system or are severely mentally ill.

What I have found in my work is that no matter what fancy shmancy "technique" I use, my clients benefit the most by the safety and trust that they experience in their working relationship with me. As I mentioned earlier, I believe that everyone has their own answers. I see myself more as a guide or a coach to help you along your path to reach your life goals. My job is to help you improve, transform or enrich your quality of life.

We learn the most about ourselves through our relationships. In counseling I can help you explore a deeper connection with yourself and others by helping you strengthen your boundaries and identifying and meeting your relationship needs in your own life.

I hope to help clients in making the shift from just "functioning" to experiencing satisfaction. Our lives are so busy and full, yet we don’t feel "full-filled." I believe that we need to take the time to feel the give-and-take in our relationships and use that as fuel for ourselves so that we can be our best when giving to others and not feel drained or deprived (and subsequently angry and resentful).
